Welcome to my kitchen!

My name is Brenda Allen and I am thrilled to offer to you the cookies that have been a favorite treat of my family for generations. Every holiday, my grandma’s kitchen was filled with children and grandchildren making these cookies. When Grandma passed in 1996, the only thing that I asked for was her rolling pin and cookie cutters. I only wish that my children could have known her and had the privilege to have spent this time with her too. As time went on, I have made these cookies with my children for our family and friends. Over the years I have been repeatedly asked to make these cookies for others that enjoy them as much as we do - and here we are…To this day, I only use my great grandmothers recipe & I still use my grandmothers rolling pin! I have searched far and wide to find another recipe exactly like this one - there isn’t one. These are truly one of a kind cookies; they will melt in your mouth, and if you close your eyes, you will be able to feel the love from Ma Lock & Grandma Loyola.
